WAGER IS COLD AND SO ARE THE METS

- One of the best closers of all time has blown 3 stright games, two of those games the mets ended up loosin 2 of those 3 games.

- They are yet to find a grove as they are 7 games out of first place now and 3 games under .500

- Moises Alou  in his first at bat gets hurt again!!!!

-Church heads to the DL

- Nothing has been going well they need a new personality in that clubhouse and i think Pedro Martinez is that guy and hopefully the mets can get hot so if they don’t then the last season at Shea will be a very long forgettible season of baseball.

Fire Randolph?

As the mets have been underachieving this season it seems Willie isn’t keeping the clubhouse focused post your opinion  on weather you think Willie should be fired or not?

86 Mets “Bad Guy Win”

The 1986 world series is one of the most famous world series of all time. They had “The Buckner Game” and  the mets were knows as the bad guys of baseball, after a season of brawling, boozing, bimbo chasing, and championchip baseball by Strawberry, Carter “The Kid”, Doctor K, Mookie, Hernandez, Darling and the rest of the 86 mets.

Mets Up and Down for Last week

So After the Mets Complete a sweep over Washington and take Two out of three from the Cubs problems start happening again as they got 2 game swept by the Cubs with a combined score at 15-2 in both games. Then they spilt a 2 game set wit The Nats and took two out of three from the Braves.

- Injuries still hurting the Mets as Schider still has not played a game since thurday because of an infected thumb and Alou might got gotten re injured in a minor league rehad game.

Mets Complete Sweep!

The Mets complete the sweep and once again prove that when Reyes hits the Mets win. Reyes went 10 for 15 in the series. Nelson Figueroro had another great game going 7 innings giving up only 2 runs on a 2 run homer by Former Yankee Nick Johnson and Struck Out 7. The bullpen also pitched great in Yesturday’s 14 inning win where the bullpen pitched 7 shutout innings and struck out 6 combined. Also Loduca did not play at all this series for the Nat’s because of a Hand Bruise. Tomorrow the mets go to Citizen’s Bank Park to play the Phillies where we will see a great pitching matchup, Santana will be going for the Mets and Hammels will be going for the Phillies hopefully Carlos Beltran is back in the lineup who had a stiff neck durring yesturday’s game which i think a pro ball player should play through.

2008 A Fresh Start

After the worse collapse in Baseball since the 1964 Phillies the Mets are back and with an addition of 2-Time Cy Young Award Winner Johan Santana and a questionable trade of Milledge for Schinder? and Church? the Mets  look more prepared to get to October. But with injuries to Pedro, Alou, Sanchez (Again), And  Castro the mets dont look so fresh and it is only five games into the season. This is going to be a great season for the NL East its going to be a hunt for the title between Phillie, Mets, and Braves who have all improved. As a fan im saying the mets are the team to beat in the NL East. Here are the NL East Standings after the first week of the 2008 Season.

Florida 4 3 .571 -
Atlanta 3 4 .429 1.0
Philadelphia 3 4 .429 1.0
New York 2 3 .400 1.0
Washington 3 5 .375 1.5

Pelfry is Perfect and Reyes is back

Pelfry went 7.0 innings didnt give up a run and struck out 4 batters, hes everything the Mets could have asked for as he increased his record to 2-0.  Reyes also came back from 2 games off and went 4-5 wit two double and a triple and David Wright hit his 4th home run of the year and had 4 RBI’s.  Everyone on the Mets wore number 42 in honor of Jackie Robinson.  Daunder Sanchez also pitched for the first time in two seasons, he is the first player to come back from an injury of his sort.   In other note Loduca did not play and Milledge got a little ovation and went 1 for 3 and no matter what Church does i would like to have Lastings in Right.

Today: Maine Vs Chico

Prediction: Mets
